🐾 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – MajesticMeows Cattery

Welcome to the MajesticMeows FAQ page! Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our Bengal and Maine Coon kittens, how we raise them, what to expect, and how to reserve your perfect feline companion.

❓How do I reserve a kitten?

You can reserve a kitten by contacting us directly via our website or social media pages. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your kitten. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis once kittens become available.

❓When can my kitten go home?

Our kittens go to their forever homes at 13–14 weeks of age, once they are fully weaned, socialised, vet-checked, vaccinated, and litter trained.

❓What comes with my kitten?

Each MajesticMeows kitten leaves with:

  • TICA registration (non-active unless breeding rights are agreed)

  • Vaccination record

  • Microchip

  • Veterinary health check certificate

  • 5 weeks of free pet insurance (AGRIA) Or 4 weeks of free pet insurance ( PETPLAN)

  • Starter food (KatKin + Royal Canin)

  • Care sheet & feeding guide

  • Blanket with mum’s scent

❓What do you feed your cats and kittens?

We feed a combination of:

  • KatKin fresh wet food – 100% human-grade meat

  • Royal Canin dry food – appropriate for age and breed

🐱 Kittens are introduced to solid food at 4 weeks and fed a balanced diet for optimal growth.

❓Are your kittens litter trained and socialised?

Yes! All kittens are:

  • Fully litter trained

  • Raised in a home environment with children and everyday sounds

  • Introduced to grooming, handling, and play from an early age

❓Do you offer breeding rights?

We occasionally offer kittens with breeding rights to registered, ethical breeders. Breeding rights are only discussed on a case-by-case basis and subject to a strict contract.

❓Where are you located?

We are based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, and welcome visitors by appointment only. Nationwide transport can be arranged via a trusted DEFRA-licensed courier.

❓Are your cats health tested?

Yes, all breeding cats are:

  • DNA tested for genetic conditions relevant to Bengals (PK-D, HCM) and Maine Coons

  • FIV/FeLV negative

  • Regularly vet-checked and vaccinated

❓Do you offer support after the kitten goes home?

Absolutely. We offer lifetime breeder support for every kitten we place. You can reach out anytime with questions about feeding, behaviour, or general care.

❓Are you council licensed?

As a TICA-registered hobby breeder, we are currently not council licensed, but we follow high welfare standards and operate from a purpose-built, insulated cattery with heated catios.

❓How much do your kittens cost?

Prices vary depending on colour, markings, and whether the kitten is pet or breeding quality. Please contact us directly for current availability and pricing.

❓What’s the difference between Bengals and Maine Coons?

  • Bengals: Energetic, intelligent, talkative, and love water. Known for their wild leopard-like coats.

  • Maine Coons: Gentle giants with friendly personalities, tufted ears, and luxurious long coats.

❓Do you have a waiting list?

Yes! We recommend joining our waiting list early if you’re looking for a specific colour, sex, or breed. Priority is given to those who place a deposit in advance.
